Izzie is my herd queen and looks very regal, being a fairly tall doe of around 150# with a lot of dairy sharpness; her daughters have been by far my best milk producing does so far. Izzie is listed as a Superior Genetics doe! She has a very good udder with well-placed large teats and strong medial. I choose bucks who will add Strength, shorten Stature, make the rump angle more level, and further increase area of udder attachment and production.

Vi is much more petite at about 135 pounds and has a bit more strength. Vi never has been very productive, she has a very close-to-the-body udder. I pair her with bucks who will hopefully substantially increase udder capacity and production. In 2005 I used grandsons from Iz's line crossed on Vi and her daughters to see if I could successfully blend the two into one line... time will tell how well that works, I did get 3 doelings out of those crosses that I am keeping (Veronica, Leah, Vanessa).

Velvet is a longer-boned doe than her dam Vi and gave about 40% more milk in her first lactation than her dam did in her second. Vel's udder capacity is much improved, retaining a strong medial ligament and smaller teats that are still easy to hand milk. Teat placement to each other is very good, but are placed foreward and up off the udder floor low-point. Velvet has nice large strong feet.

Velvet's 2003 sons sired by Antique Acres Belles Superstar: wethers Thistle & Tristan. I tried to repeat this breeding for 2005 kids, but she didn't settle... and fooled me, so she spent 2005 dry; in the fall of 2005 I used one of my young bucks, Rogue, for 2006 kids.

Lily is quite big-boned like her dam's dam Jazmine, making her more of a handsome rather than a feminine doe; this made her the perfect match for SG +*B Bell Boy's Calypso who tends to take away a significant amount of "bone" from his offspring. She has an all-around awesome udder, and in her first lactation with a single kid, she produced over 3,000# in 305 days. Lily is a Superior Genetics doe, as are both her parents! Lily has the most unflappable attitude one could ever hope to find. The two traits I want to modify in her kids are to bring the rump angle up and teats closer together and just a wee bit smaller in size. Lily is polled.

Claire is a tall very sharp and dairy doe, probably the closest to the textbook look of an ideal dairy doe that I have in my herd. She has her sire's very dark brown coloring and polled head and two wattles.

Fiona is more what I expected from the Pasha influence in body style - more petite and rounded with heavier shoulders. Fiona is disbudded and has two wattles; her coat color is a beautiful taupe with silver overtones and very long wavy ruckles and a "shawl" over her shoulders. Both does' udders have excellent areas of attachment - high rear udders and beautifully extended foreudders - strongly supported by the medial suspensory ligament. I especially appreciate the perfect placement of the teats on the udder, at the low point and fully under the udder, not at all to the outside. Because of their overall excellent type and production qualities, I decided to keep their sons intact and use them in my breeding program.

Angel & Valentine are my first-born kids by SGCH ++*B Whispering Hope Vida Blue, listed by ADGA as a Superior Genetics buck. These does, and their full sister Diva who is two years younger, are extremely refined and elegant, like Egyptian Arabian horses. All three have their sire's polled genes which further accents the dished profile. I would like to add a bit more width to their overall structure, and correct Valentine's teat placement which is quite far out to the sides of her udder. Angel & Valentine also fooled me in the fall of 2004 into thinking they were bred; consequently it wasn't until they were almost 3 years old that they first freshened.

Robla's KP Odelia 1*M T1162733 X SGCH +*B Whiterox Socrates T622967p

Opal & Pearl are very petite does with capacious highly productive udders that have a much stronger medial suspensory ligament and increased area of attachment than their dam Odelia. Their teat sizes are the main thing I want to improve in the next generation, since they are extremely small and difficult for hand milking. I held Pearl back from freshening as a 2 year old because she got into my yard and nearly died from eating rhodie leaves at the end of October, and I didn't want her body to be further stressed by pregnancy right away.

Littermate: Rainhaven's Calypso Caruso T1357153

Charisma and her brother Caruso are my first Calypso kids. Charisma is strong-boned and yet feminine, the balance I had hoped for. Charisma gave birth to twin mini-Togg bucklings on June 3, 2006. Her just-freshened udder looks like it will have all of her dam's awesome traits plus improved teat placement (closer together) and size (slightly smaller than Lily's). The one thing I would like to correct in future generations is to bring the rump angle up more. Both Lily and Calypso are listed on ADGA's Superior Genetics program! Charisma's littermate brother Caruso is listed on ADGA's Young Sire Development program and is the highest ranking buckling on the 2006 Toggenburg YSD list with ETAs of +164 for production and +82 for type.

Charisma's 2006 bucklings sired by Nigerian Dwarf AJUD Senor Bandido: Poncho & Pablo I will keep one buckling and be selling the other.
